The combination of dried prunes and walnuts is not unusual. I have tried it as a filling in buns in a favorite patisserie in Sofia. The pralines I present are extremely easy and impressive if you have to prepare something quickly. Improvisations could be countless.
Products:
200 g of dried plums (the weight is measured with pits)
1 cup ground walnuts
2 tbsp coconut oil, odorless
1 tbsp cocoa butter
1 tbsp coffee liqueur or to taste
1 handful of chopped roasted pistachios to be rolled in
Preparation:
Pit the plums. If they are too hard, soak them for several minutes in hot water, then drain the water.
Put the plums in a chopper. Add the other ingredients and blend them.
Shape the balls. Roll them in pistachios*.
*Optionally, you can roast for a short time the pistachios in a dry dish. Several seconds before take them off the oven, add 1 tablespoon of agave syrup and stir.
