I prefer its vegan version, however, you can add variety of aromatic cheese, if you like. The taste is classic – it is a perfect match for a slice of bread, on tomatoes, cheese or simply as a side dish to the main course.
200 g basil (this is the quantity of the box I buy – including the sprigs);
1 jar dried tomatoes with capers in olive oil (140 g – dry content, 285 g is the total content with olive oil) – I use everything;
100 g raw cedar nuts;
1/2 garlic head, cloves peeled
Clean the basil – I use only the leaves.
Blend all products in a blender/chopper to a homogeneous mixture. I do not add salt and vinegar as the jar of capers and tomatoes contains (at your discretion).
