5 pieces, diam. 15-18 cm

Here’s an idea for beginner level bakers! The result is something like appetizing and very aromatic flat bread. These wonderful breads can be flavored with Mediterranean or exotic spices. As a basis for the dough, I use a recipe from Anna Olsen’s food channel (with my proportions).

Products you need:

50 g of fresh yeast

1 cup of lukewarm water

a pinch of sugar

1/2 cup of yoghurt (Greek style)

3 cups of white flour

a pinch of salt

2 tbsp. of olive oil

flour for spreading (about a handful)

butter (as big as walnut) to grease the surface of the loaves

large chunks of sea salt, for sprinkling

nigella seeds, for sprinkling

Preparation:

Dissolve the yeast in a glass of lukewarm water; sprinkle with a pinch of sugar. I wait a few minutes to activate.

Meanwhile, I put the flour in a large bowl, form a well in the middle, and add the yogurt, the sunflower oil and the salt (always on the periphery to avoid direct contact with the yeast).

Put the activated yeast mixture in the flour (in the well).

I knead very soft dough.

It rises while covered with a cotton cloth.

Then I knead it with some flour and divide it into 5 soft balls.

Roll it out with a rolling pin. The thickness is about 0.5 cm and the diameter is 15-18 cm.

Bake the loaves on both sides on a fry pan without any grease.

The ready loaves I grease with plenty of butter (on the one side) while hot.
